What Mabat3D Was Facing
Mabat3D delivered 3D and AR visualisation tools to real estate developers and architects on a project-by-project fee basis. Revenue was unpredictable, customer relationships reset with each project, and there was no recurring value capture. Converting to a subscription model required identifying which parts of the product delivered ongoing value beyond a single project, and building the infrastructure for multi-project workspaces, team collaboration, and continuous asset management.
The Solution
What We Built
We redesigned the product around a workspace model where each subscriber maintained a live library of 3D assets and project templates that accumulated value over time. Subscription tiers were based on active project count, team seat count, and render credit allocation. An asset versioning system and brand kit manager made the workspace increasingly valuable as clients built up their content library — raising switching costs organically. Stripe Billing handled monthly and annual subscriptions with automated seat-count true-ups as teams grew.
