The Challenge
What MetekuAI Was Facing
MetekuAI sold an AI decision-support tool to enterprise buyers on a subscription basis. Pilots regularly converted to paid trials, but enterprise procurement would not approve full rollouts without audit trails, human override controls, and explainability features that demonstrated the AI was not operating as a black box. Deals stalled at the procurement stage and CAC was unsustainably high relative to the eventual contract value.
The Solution
What We Built
We built an enterprise compliance layer: every AI recommendation logged with the input data, model version, confidence score, and any human override applied. An audit export feature packaged this data for compliance reviews. Explainability summaries were surfaced directly on the decision UI so human reviewers could approve or reject suggestions with full context. The subscription tier model was restructured to tie the enterprise features — audit depth, custom model training, SSO — to a minimum annual commitment, increasing ACV and reducing the risk of month-to-month cancellation.
